It took me a while to get into this book but by around 50-60% in I finally started to enjoy it and that bumped it up to a four star for me。 The beginning of the book had a lot of scenes from previous books just told from Mary and vaskas point of view。 I thought this was cool as they were secondary characters in the other books and enjoyed these moments。 What kept me from really getting into the book sooner was that Mary kept telling vaska no。 For me there was just to many scenes of dubious conse It took me a while to get into this book but by around 50-60% in I finally started to enjoy it and that bumped it up to a four star for me。 The beginning of the book had a lot of scenes from previous books just told from Mary and vaskas point of view。 I thought this was cool as they were secondary characters in the other books and enjoyed these moments。 What kept me from really getting into the book sooner was that Mary kept telling vaska no。 For me there was just to many scenes of dubious consent and it was skating really close to the no consent line for a lot of the scenes。 But then about halfway through the book Mary is suddenly all for her relationship with vaska。 I felt like this really came out of no where but I much preferred the book after this。 I also really liked the ending。 It was nice to see them get their own timeline that was separate from the other books and they get their HEA which I guess makes everything else worth it。 I’m still not real sure that I see them as a life long couple since almost all they do is fight but at least the book ends well for them。 。。。more

I read at least 4 books a week and while I will read everything my favourites tend to be the books with the sweeter， shyer （non-doormat） female characters。 Why？ Because much of the time when you get a female main character that is described in the blurb or reviews as "strong" or "kick-ass" she is stereotypically loud， shouts a lot， talks back， swears。。。 and there's not much else to her。 I'm a big fan of Zoe's writing and I had high hopes that Mary would not turn out to be *that* kind of "strong I read at least 4 books a week and while I will read everything my favourites tend to be the books with the sweeter， shyer （non-doormat） female characters。 Why？ Because much of the time when you get a female main character that is described in the blurb or reviews as "strong" or "kick-ass" she is stereotypically loud， shouts a lot， talks back， swears。。。 and there's not much else to her。 I'm a big fan of Zoe's writing and I had high hopes that Mary would not turn out to be *that* kind of "strong female character" and my faith was justified。 I love Mary。 Mary strong without being brash， independent without being rude， full of personality without being loud。 We get to see her vulnerable side， her sassy side， and sheesh do she and Vaska bring the heat！ Lots of hot scenes。。。 very， very descriptive hot scenes。 How do you not love a rockabilly-chic girl that knows every Buffy episode by heart？Love that the fashion is so descriptive I could easily picture what Mary was wearing - and what Vaska was doing to said outfit - and I am not one that finds visualization easy。 I think Sweet Depravity is my favourite of this series and second favourite in Zoe's Russian Mafia universe。 I don't know which character is going to have a story written for them next but dang， this series must continue！ 。。。more

This is the one we have been waiting for。 We met Vaska and Mary briefly and instantly we knew we needed their story！ Vaska is just 🔥🔥 Sex on a stick！ 100% Swoon worthy。。 I loved Mary from her style to her fight。 She was fantastic！ You literally need to be someone like her to be able to handle a man like Vaska。 I devoured this story and instantly wanted more。 That is the problem with Zoe’s stories and characters， they are so good that it constantly leaves you craving more。

Absolutely LOVED it！ Finally got Mary and Vaskas story。 Zoe Blake has done it again。 I fall in love with all her books and this one is no exception。 Even though sometimes I wanted to smack Mary upside the head I have a feeling I would do the exact same thing as her if I had someone like Vaska coming after me。
